Following their ‘Everything (Is You)’ single release in October, dreamy alt-pop band Frida has today announced the release of their brand new EP I Want In Your Head, out November 25. The group will launch the EP on December 1st at the Curtin Band room in Melbourne.
I Want In Your Head is a blistering collection of songs that weave themselves around pop, rock, soul and contemporary influences with unerring ease. The arrangements are exemplary; the music is mature, confident, and evocative of Tame Impala, Florence Welch, even Mac Demarco. Melodies writhe everywhere from the lead vocal to the guitar, buoyed by percolating rhythms and inventive, exciting song structure.
So far, 2016 has been a big year for Frida. In between writing, recording, and returning to Singapore to play a string of festival shows, they released two singles, Limbo and Everything (Is You), garnering play and praise from Spotify, Triple J and Double J alike.
I Want In Your Head will be available on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music from November 25, 2016.
